A happy birthday shout-out goes to Plain Ivey Jane! Sarah Reeves’ charming boutique on 2nd Street turns 1 year old this Saturday and I plan to be there to celebrate. There will be drinks from Savvy Vodka, a photo booth (my personal fav party draw), and tunes from DJ Abe & DJ Arsenal.

Plus, if you don’t get to wear them this season, you’ll have some brand new items when you go to switch out your wardrobe next Fall. It’s a surprise when you go to look in your closet and discover something you forgot you bought. I love those suprises!

With the full onset of Fall in Texas, along with the fact that they did an EPIC mash-up of Singin’ in the Rain and Rihanna’s Umbrella last night on Glee, I find myself lusting after rain boots as of late.
While I have my beloved classic black Coach galoshes, for some reason I have this itch to start a collection of waterproof boots. I mean, can you blame me? They come in the cutest prints, colors, and styles, and afterall, they do serve a very useful purpose. A girl can’t look stylish if her feet are wet. Not to mention that if you don’t buy designer brands such as Burberry or Tory Burch, you can totally start a fabulous collection without breaking the bank.
So my newest obsession is totally doable, right? Well, even if you think I’m ridiculous, enjoy this eye candy smattering of my favorite styles.
Austin fashionistas be sure to stop by SoLa tonight for their 2010 Fashion Exhibit. This local Austin boutique is having a roaring 20’s inspired showing of their latest and greatest for Fall. In place of a typical fashion show they will have models on display throughout the store showing off the designs so you can get an up-close and personal feel for the clothing. And the best part is that 5% of the evening’s sales will go to benefit Safeplace.
