About Me

Hello, my name is Ashley Sparger and I am a fashionaholic.  Born and raised in San Antonio, TX, my mother instilled a love for fashion, style, and all things bridal in me from a young age.  I knew what gingham was before I could add or subtract.  While other kids watched cartoons on Saturday mornings I caught up on the latest trends and runway shows on TV, religiously following style shows such as Fashion Television, Style with Elsa Klensch, and Fashion File.

The University of Texas at Austin is where I chose to feed my addiction, graduating with a BS in Textile and Apparel Design and a lifelong love for all things burnt orange.  I earned the award for Most Marketable Collection at the Division of Textiles and Apparel 2005 Fashion Show and was even interviewed for a spread about the show in the Austin American Statesman.

Since entering the real world I’ve been all over the fashion spectrum, working for retailers such as Anthropologie, as well as doing time on the design side with a local jewelry design firm, Kendra Scott Design.  I’ve even been a bridal consultant so I’ve seen it all: the good, the bad, and the ugly.

More recently I started helping a few friends update their look via shopping trips and wardrobe consulting.  One of my friends liked it so much that she referred others to me and voila! I now offer stylist services.  Go shopping and talk about clothes for a living?  Yes please!

Since I constantly have internal running fashion commentary in my head, I decided to start this blog to offer up a little insight into my stylish (and sometimes judgmental) mind.  Everything from where to find bargains to critiquing this season’s runway shows will be fair game for blog content.  I hope my reflections serve to enlighten, educate and entertain you.   Cheers!
